The Alaska Gold Forums

Many of us old timers came to "the Gold forums" years ago as a way to give and then receive knowledge in our chosen passion having to do with Gold and the recovering of it. Jim Foley was one of the early miners who created a place for us to exchange mining 'stuff' (The Alaska Gold Forum) and one tec...

Hey there #1, great to hear from you! I visit 2 or 3 times a day so our trails cross here at least once a week, however, it seems,we've both been REALLY sucessfut in keeping well hidden here in the Pucker brush. The next time you check in why not take a moment and let us know more about yourself. Th...

Just bots - probably an unexpected consequence of A I.

The same sort of thing happened to a friend of mine a while back. Metal detecting in a remote area he suddenly had a strong hit and he then dug up a small "cache" of gold Dore bars. After dutifully researching historical records without any hint of sucess he 'reluctently' stored them away for future...

My small efforts have all centered from Hope up to the south side of Denali with a little time north of Fairbanks as well as some time on the beach west of Nome and a couple of trips to the beaches of Oregon. Then again ther...

Prior ownerships of claims (or the absolute lack of interest) as well as topo info for access are things that do help to give a better idea as to potentials for an area of inter...

Steve sure had a good run with that forum. He had "Pick 'a da Litter" for quite a while, years ago, back when he sold all the new detectors at the store there in Los Anchorage. He certainly learned and shared his 'stuff' with many of us here on the forum. One year he reaped a whirlwind down at Crow ...

It makes you wonder if Pedro ever saved that very first nugget he found in Alaska - near Fairbanks?
GREAT find there, Dick --- go look for another one like this "Toothpaste" one over the coming season!
Joe

Did you get much gold in all that "high grade" from the tracks? One year "The Queen of Our Realm" brought her boots back from one of those adventure filled summers and decided, in the middle of the winter, to pan out the "stuff" sticking to them. Yeah - she pulled them from the plastic bags they wer...

JEEZ Dick --- do your hands even fit a "True Temper #2" any more???

What a great piece of equipment!
