Re: Detector Prospector forum
Steve sure had a good run with that forum. He had "Pick 'a da Litter" for quite a while, years ago, back when he sold all the new detectors at the store there in Los Anchorage. He certainly learned and shared his 'stuff' with many of us here on the forum. One year he reaped a whirlwind down at Crow ...

Re: Most Unique Nugget
It makes you wonder if Pedro ever saved that very first nugget he found in Alaska - near Fairbanks?
GREAT find there, Dick --- go look for another one like this "Toothpaste" one over the coming season!

Re: How goes the battle gents?

Re: How goes the battle gents?
Copied all that, I did. On a 'regular day' I used to shovel about 1.5 +- yards through my sluice or highbanker a day, and once in a while, when I could use the Keene 4", well, the sky was the limit. I sure do hope that I can get back into it again - time will sort it all out, I guess. As time allows...

Slow healing Diabetic foot wound to heal. 18 months so far and every time it starts looking like there's a light at the end of the tunnel it turns to ne another train com...

Re: How many colors in a Pan ?
It happens in stages. First, poke around until something gets your attention. When that happens figure out just what you stumbled upon. Is it just a random fizzle or something more solid. Then, it completely falls on your shoulders as to "Is it enough, or not?" ""Enough"" in weight, size or richness...

Re: Make your own mind up on .......................
Well Sir, I've been there and done that on the "...trip to Nome" thing. Beach mining or possibly GPAA? You would be well advised to bring two VERY fine mesh classifiers (at least one 40 or 60 mesh one) and search out someone when you arrive to teach you how to pan all over again. Also - bring a few ...

Re: Dredge Plug Removal Tool
So Easy, there will be some problems … Plug ups usually come along when a piece of longish gravel, traveling through the suction hose, twists or tumbles enough that it toggles inside the hose. Following gravel and sand pack the new diagonal obstruction and continues packing it until little to nothin...
