Re: Dredge Plug Removal Tool

So Easy, there will be some problems … Plug ups usually come along when a piece of longish gravel, traveling through the suction hose, twists or tumbles enough that it toggles inside the hose. Following gravel and sand pack the new diagonal obstruction and continues packing it until little to nothin...

Re: IYKYK is AI just GIGO for gold mining?

One thing about "Published Material" that is sometimes overlooked has to do with the testing process and just who actually does it - and - more importantly, how it's actially done. In the great scheme of things, temporary summer help was used for decades to do much of the mind numbing, repetive test...

Re: IYKYK is AI just GIGO for gold mining?

No, not here. I guess I'm just set in my ways too much to venture off into what to me is a vast, confusing network of unintended, potentially scary possibilities. Have you eve noticed how AI generated vocal products are so 'not right'? Not just sometimes but always only a faint reflection of real sp...

Make your own mind up on .......................

I do not endorse nor criticize this product - I just want to put these found-on-youtube-videos on Dream Mat for others to see and hope that folks like you might share some mid winter thoughts on it. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=dream+mat+sluice Have you used it yourself? Like it or n...

Re: Gold Hog nary a Squeal!

One customizing thing that I did, which I found quite useful, was simple, inexpensive, handy AND was really easy. I had one of those Sharpies (Magic Markers) that was Silver in color and I made SURE that the mat was absolutely aligned correctly and then went to the back of it and marked it right and...

Re: Gold Hog nary a Squeal!

Wellllllll - I guess I might have a little input (maybe not only a little bit) on Doc and his Gold Hog line. Doc is a very unusual gent. He had been non-professionally Gold mining for quite a long while and he, for some reason, started studying recovery systems and the failings and advantages to eac...

Re: Gold Spot

If anyone is a bit fuzzy on what "Spot Price" is --- here's a pretty good write-up on it:

Re: Gold Spot

HMmmmmm --------- When I first started panning back in the summer of '66 the US Government's fixed price for Gold was $35 / oz and private ownership of refined Gold, say a Gold bar or Gold coinage, was unlawful. Big time Gold smugglers would somehow get their Gold to Europe (Switzerland) which was i...

Re: Ho, Ho, Ho & Happy, Happy!

JEEZ DICK, Where did you find Gas-a- hol in AK? I understood that Ethanol froze too easily at cold temperatures and so just was never introduced into the fuel mix in The Great State. Was I mislead, somehow?? It used to be back in the olden days everyone thought that the only way to effectively recov...

Re: Ho, Ho, Ho & Happy, Happy!

Must be that (mis)management concept that simply deferring plowing will be a mute point come July. Down to Zero (F) two nights ago here in Northern Idaho but warmed up to a balmy +4 (F) this morning at dawn. Only a trace of snow - but February is coming ! ! ! A ton of winter work getting done - incl...
