Could we expand the discussion to include manual methods. I think it should be allowable to use a stationary bike to drive a sluice or alternator/battery/water pump combo. California is waiting.

Got a family member who used to drift mine for coal in Illinois of all places. He would jack drill and blast to follow the drift. His specialty was stabilizing the walls with gunnite on rebar-basically rough concrete walls. Makes wine caves in California now. First one was Alexander Valley Vineyards...

Sounds like the camel wheel is pretty durable. There is also a pretty long shaker table thread. I want to set up a system to run test holes so I can evaluate 30 foot boring samples. I figure if I can measure the gold along the way I don't have to lug the entire bore sample back to a lab. That would ...

So I went and looked up this book and it is indeed the definitive reference among the mining offices. The problem is the book is out of print and not available on any other platform except print and not even through the publisher the Oregon Mining District or some such. I did a library search and so...
