Guess what I discovered!
Poking around the list of Geophysical surveys at Alaska DGGS, there's one called "Pilgrim Springs".
You already know where this is going but the hunt for Gold is the story!
Months ago, I downloaded the database and gave the survey a casual look. Nothing popped out. I put it away because the survey was a NEW type of Airborne Geophysical Survey in Alaska done by SkyTEM. It uses pulse technology like a pulse induction (PI) metal detector.
Last night I decided to drill deeper and list all of the hottest anomalies (aka hits) and document the locations. Afterwords, I went to bed, got up at 4 AM and went back to work plotting the hits on a mapping app called Caltopo. Yeppers, I discovered a Gold deposit!
Well, it was a very good conductor like Gold. I decided to investigate Pilgrim Springs online. It's a Hot Springs Resort on the Seward Peninsula. You go to Nome. Drive out on Beam Road also known as the Nome - Taylor Highway to the turnoff.
There's more! So stick around!
