Analemma in solar tracking

Post by Geowizard » Sat Jun 20, 2026 5:13 pm

Guys and Gals,

There are many challenges facing remote prospectors in Alaska!

Here is an opportunity to discuss problems and solutions on the subject of solar panel tracking.

Efficiency:

We know Efficiency improves with an understanding of solar panel tracking.

analemma: :o

An analemma is a figure-eight diagram showing the position of the Sun in the sky, taken from the same location at the exact same time of day over the course of a year. It is formed by Earth’s 23.5-degree axial tilt and its elliptical (oval-shaped) orbit.

The figure-eight shape visually maps the relationship between standard clock time and the actual position of the Sun (known as the Equation of Time):

Stick around! There's more! :)
