Yes, I am going to build mine using the Devin as a pattern. I really like the tip over design and was thinking of using a split piece of pvc pipe for the trough.
I was all set to order the Cariboo model but damn the shipping alone was almost a grand! So I figured I'd just buy the plate and build my own.
DO you screen your cons before running through the Devin ?

I do yes but only to half inch. What I do is when I pull my carpets out of my sluice, I dump them into a 1/2"" classifier and do my pre screening as I am washing out my carpets. At the end of the day I have all my cons in rubbermaid totes at 1/2" minus and then send them all through the cleanup sluice.

@chickenminer - How did it go with your hand made trough/setup? I finally got a a spare hand to take a vid but it was on one of my worst testing days and it was only a 3 gram cleanup so it doesn't really do it justice...

Well I never get get my Devin plate made into a cleanup box! I did gather parts and pieces I need though. Seems like always something else to work on!
I did get one of the VDR mats for my Gold Cube and used it this summer. Really impressed how well they work and way easier to clean than that conveyor belt matting the cube uses!!
