THanks Geo, I happen to have a powerpack design already that I build for my shaker and trommels albeit a little smaller at 15hp. The thing that has always hindered me in placer drilling is the large boulders frequent in my area would prevent a small auger from doing much if encountered. I have found that a backhoe or excavator is usually the better option. Still open to any and all ideas though!
